KG1: Admission Requirments

  • The child’s age must not be less than 4 years or exceed 4 years, 11 months, and 29 days on October 1st, 2021 for application to the academic year 2021/2022.
  • The child must be free from any psychological and/or mental disorders and/or physical disabilities, all of which are eligible for special needs education.
  • The child’s parents, or at least one parent, must be a college graduate - a proof of which must be submitted to school administration. The child must be under a parent’s natural care or a legal guardian - a proof of which must be submitted to school administration.
  • In case of the absence of both parents upon application, an authorization must be submitted from an authorized notary office or from an Egyptian consulate abroad, where a child’s parent is employed, in order to be eligible to apply to Nile Egyptian Schools.
  • The child’s parent or legal guardian must submit a signed print-out of NES electronic admission form, acknowledging validity of all submitted information. The signed admission form is automatically serialized according to the child’s number in the database. All other required documents must be submitted with the application form.
  • Only serialized electronic admission forms signed by a parent or a legal guardian will be accepted.
  • The child must pass admission interview/requirements, including requirements for personal appearance and behaviour, mathematical skills, general knowledge, motor skills and analytical skills. Date of interview will be announced in the admission section of NES website,
  • The child’s parent or legal guardian must be present for parent/legal guardian personal interviews that serve to assess their parenting style (beliefs and attitudes), dealing with others as well as with school administration in a way that matches the standards of Nile Egyptian Schools and its educational system.
  • Admission is based solely on achievement (child assessment + parent/legal guardian assessment). In the case of equal assessments between children, older age is given preference.
  • Admission results are announced on NES admission site.
  • The parent is committed to drive his/her child to school should pick up/drop off place is out of school-bus service zone.
  • The parent or legal guardian must sign, in person, all required compliance documents that ensure full commitment to financial, administrative and academic NES systems. The parent or legal guardian is committed to all admission requirements specified in accepted child’s admission file.
  • NES administration withholds the right to expel any student at any given academic year from NES schools upon detection of any invalid or incorrect information submitted by the parent/legal guardian with no liabilities whatsoever to NES.

Required Documents

The following documentation is required before assessment can take place. This can be presented at the time of assessment.

  • Completed application form.
  • Original birth certificate – electronic copy.
  • 8 passport size photographs of the student.
  • Copy of IDs for both parents.
  • Academic reports up until the last finished school term.
  • Nursery Report for FS1 Applicants.
  • Certificate of good conduct.

Nile International Education System (NIES)

Nile International Education System (NIES) Stages

The Nile International Education System comprises of four educational stages:

  • Kindergarten (KG1 & KG2)
  • Elementary Stage: G1-G6
  • Preparatory Stage: G7-G9
  • Secondary Stage: G10-G12

Nile International Education System (NIES) Certificates

The Nile International Education System offers 2 certificates:

  • Certificate of Nile International Preparatory Education (CNIPE): Offered at the end of Grade 9.
  • Certificate of Nile International Secondary Education (CNISE): offered at the end of Grade 12 and qualifies students for university entry.
